Winnipeg Bath Shop Gifting High-Profile Celebrities On Earth Day
Wolseley entrepreneur to gift Eco-conscious celebs homemade soap
Winnipeg, MB (March 27, 2012) – Winnipeg West End resident Louise Vargas will soon gift Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Orlando Bloom and other high-profile celebrities with her boutique homemade soap.
In honour of Earth Day on April 22nd, 2012, Vargas’ natural bath and body business called SoGa Soap & CupFakery will give each of the celebrities her signature CupFakes and BaBalm vegan lip balm.
“A CupFake is a little bath treat in the shape of a cupcake. It’s soap especially designed for dry and sensitive skin,” Vargas says.
Last month, Vargas’ natural care products were featured in the Luxury Gift Lounge at the 84th Academy Awards. Since then, her little home business in Wolseley has been busier than ever.
“It’s come to a point where we may be opening up a storefront soon,” says Vargas, who started the business on the side because she couldn’t easily find soap for her sensitive skin.
A surgical neuromonitoring technologist at The Health Sciences Centre, Vagas started SoGa Soap & CupFakery in August 2011.
Along with her husband Luis, she runs the business out of a small workshop and showroom in her West End home, which is open by appointment only.
Vargas’ soap was handpicked by members of The Artisan Group, which exists to promote handmade artisans at celebrity events such as Earth Day.
